Background and Experience
Bio
Brian
I started flying at an early age and built my foundation instructing across multiple states, working with a wide range of students and learning styles. Early in my career, I flew single-pilot Part 135 operations in aircraft like the Beechcraft Baron and Piper Chieftain throughout the Northeast. That environment—frequent legs, changing weather, and constant decision-making—forced a level of discipline and consistency that now carries directly into how I teach.
From there, I moved into international operations, flying King Airs aircraft across Central America and other regions, including remote and high-workload environments. Those flights required adaptability and a strong understanding of systems and situational awareness in conditions that were often less structured than typical domestic flying.
I later transitioned into corporate aviation within a Fortune 500 flight department, then into a Part 135 operation where I served as a fleet lead and instructor, training and mentoring other pilots.
I currently operate the Boeing 757 and 767 for a major cargo carrier.

Instruction Philosophy
Instruction Philosophy
My goal isn’t just to get you through a syllabus or a checkride. It’s to build understanding that actually holds up when things aren’t going exactly as planned.
I try to take concepts that are often taught at a surface level and break them down into something practical and usable in the airplane. The emphasis is always on helping you understand what’s happening and why, so you can make better decisions in real time.

Outside of Aviation
Outside of Aviation
Outside of flying, most of my time is spent with my family—usually at my daughter’s activities or with friends. I also stay focused on continued learning, including helicopter training and sailing, with long-term goals that extend beyond aviation.
I have a strong interest in sailing and look forward to many future trips, with a long-term goal of crossing the Atlantic. I also maintain a continued focus on learning and development, both within aviation and beyond.
